brother ribber not knitting?
I have a brother 830 with ribber after many months of it not being attached to my main machine I have just re attached it. It is only picking up the yarn on the ribber not the main bed. I have checked that both sets of needle are coming forward which they are. Any ideas of what is wrong.
Hmm... this sounds like you have not engaged the main bed. There is a setting that needs to be turned on. You can set it so that you only use the needles on one side of the bed -- it comes in handy once in a while for some stitches. It's easy to forget to turn it back on, if it was turned off for some reason. It should be a switch on your carrier. Remember that you use alternate needles on both beds so that they don't catch each other.
