loop knitting
When knitting, how can you improve the holes you've made when you miss a loop?
I'm really new to knitting, first scarf and need to finish it before boxing day. Is there anything I can do to disguise the holes?
If it is not too far down you can pull up the lost stitch by using the instructions given to you, You can forget you dropped the stitch but you should know if you drop the stitches some other places as suggested the stitch will run down to the bottom of the article eventually and guess who will be asked what happened. Now if the stitch is not too far down , say 6 or so rows you can pick it up but if you want to try pulling it up and the stitch and it is too tiny it is too far down. You can pull down some of the rows to the 6 or so rows and pick up the stitch. When your knitting something that long take a safety pin or something to mark that row. That would be the row you just knitted and counted the stitches and they were correct. Now continue for several rows and count again . If the count is ok move the marker up to that row, By doing this you wont have to go too far to correct mistakes. I still do this an I have been knitting for several centuries or it seems like that.
