Find Your Free Dog Clothes Patterns
There are a lot of free dog sweater patterns on the web, but they're not all created equal. Some patterns can be hard to customize for an unusually sized dog. Others are so frumpy, they won't look good on your dog even if they are knitted out correctly. With free dog sweater patterns, you sometimes get what you pay for and you have to be aware in advance that your sweater may come out a little funny, especially if it's the first time you've knit that pattern out for your dog.
The good news is that there is a big overlap in the knitting community and the dog loving communities. Many generous knitters have made their patterns for dog sweaters and coats available for free on the Internet. The best websites have pictures of the way the dog sweaters look when they are finished, so you can see what you're going to get before you undertake the work and expense of knitting out the pattern.
Personally, I think dog sweaters make great gifts for other dog lovers you know. Many people really enjoy the idea of dressing their dog to stay warm and clean when it's cold and wet outside, but don't know how to knit, or can't find commercial dog clothes that are durable or sized to fit their dog correctly and stay put despite a little scratching or biting.
When you have a selection of good dog sweaters to choose from, you can modify the colors, sizes and designs to fit your dog and your friends' dogs, so you can collectively set the canine fashion world ablaze.
