knitting needle sizes for beginners
Please help projects for knitting??
Hi, I'm a beginner, as in I just started knitting a few days ago but I'm pretty good at the basic knitting stitch.. I was wondering if there's any project I can do, you know, something that's for beginners like me.. Oh yeah, I only have size 7 needles and purple yarn and black yarn.. Please help!
Also, please don't give me a list of knitting projects on lionbrand or something like that because the only reason I'm asking this question is because I'm sick of looking through those lists for something I can do with the needles I have.

I think the best project for beginners is a nice garter row scarf. You cast on as many stitches as you want, depending on how wide you want your scarf. I'm not sure if you mean American size 7 or 7mm needles, or how wide you like your scarves, so I can't tell you how many stitches. That is up to you. You can just cast on and knit a few rows and see if it's wide enough. It's a scarf, so it really is to your liking and doesn't need to be exact.
Then just knit every row and keep knitting until it is long enough to please you. You can make "stripes" with your black and purple yarn simply by breaking off and joining the new color at the end of a row.
Remember, knitting is fun! Sometimes at first it can be frustring, but if you take it easy and enjoy yourself, you will be surprised at how fast you get good at it. I hope you learn and grow and come to love knitting as well as I do.
