looking for a pattern for leg warmers that include the foot (minus the heel and toes)?
take a trouser sock and cut out the heel and toes. That is the knitting pattern I am looking for
use a sock pattern in the style that you want but when it comes to the heel shaping cast off the number of sts the heel requires on one row and on the next row cast on the same number of sts. This will just leave a hole where the heel would be and allow it to go under the foot. Then when it comes to the toe part just cast off the sts. - this will leave the toes uncovered. If you find the underpart of the foot too long (from heel to toe) just work 10 rows less than is required on the pattern. This should give you the type of legwarmer that you are looking for.
