knitting help
Can anyone help me to understand knitting abbreviations?
I have heaps of small questions about knitting abbreviations in my patterns and I would appreciate some help. Please email me.

I ended up learning a lot through osmosis/immersion. I joined a knitting group & slowly learned to understand what people were saying. Reading knitting blogs helped me learn the slang, too. There are thousands of knitting blogs out there; here are a few of my favorites:

Some of my favorite knitting slang:
Frog: to rip out your work (anywhere from a few rows to the entire project), usually because you made a mistake or don't like the finished object. (Where did this term come from? Say "rip it, rip it" out loud, and you'll get it.)
Tink: to "unknit" anywhere from one stitch to a few rows. Much easier than frogging & trying to put all those stitches back on the needle correctly. ("Tink" is the word "knit" spelled backwards.)
Stash: the yarn in your home. (Yarn shopping is sometimes called "stash enrichment.")
