knitting cast off last stitch

Help with a knitting pattern!?

Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me explain a knitting pattern. I have started to knit a slipover (sleeveless jumper) for my daughter's 1st birthday, which is in 3 days time. But I am now stuck on the shaping armholes part of the pattern. The pattern reads as follows: -

Shape Armholes
Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows. 61 sts.
Next row: (rs) k1, k2tog tbl, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.
Next row: p1, p2tog, p to last 3 sts, p2tog tbl, p1.

This is the part that I don't understand: -

Working all armhole decreases as set by last 2 rows, dec 1 st at each end of next 3 rows, then on foll 4 alt rows. 43 sts.

Can someone please help me explain it stitch by stitch. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Cast off 3 sts at beginning of next 2 rows leaving 61 sts

RS : K1, knit 2 together through the back of the loop, knit across the piece until the last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1
WS: p1, p2tog, p to last 3 stitiches, purl 2 together through the back of the loop, p1

Repeat these last two rows, adding another decrease at the end of the next 3 rows, then every other row through the next 8 rows, reducing down to 43 stitches

Row1 is RS above
Row2 is WS above
Row3 is RS above with additional decrease, I would do it either just before the k2tog or in the middle of the row, whichever would be less noticeable
Row4 is WS above with additional decrease, I would do it either just before the p2tog or in the middle of the row, whichever would be less noticeable
Row5 is RS above with additional decrease, I would do it either just before the k2tog or in the middle of the row, whichever would be less noticeable
Row6 is Row2
Row7 is Row5
Row8 is Row2
Row9 is Row5
Row10 is Row2
Row11 is Row5
Row12 is Row2
Row13 is Row5
You should be at 43 sts
