inc 1 knitting
Help with knitting pattern?
Hello!!
I'm knitting a jumper with cap sleeves and I got to the sleeves bit an it says:
inc 1 st at each end of next and foll 4th row, then on foll 4 alt rows, taking inc sts into patt. 92[98:110:112] sts.
What I understand is that I add in this way:
Row1: one on each side
Row2: none
Row3: none
Row4: one on each side
Row5: none
Row6: one on each side
Row7: none
Row8: one on each side
Row9: none
Row10: one on each side
Row11: none
Row12: one on each side
Could someone with more experience than me (very easily achieved btw) confirm if I've got the right idea?

I wanted to add that the pattern I have been doing up to this point is composed of 8 rows. In case that helps decipher it! Thanks for the advice
Row1: one on each side
Row2: none
Row3: none
Row4: none
Row5: one on each side
Row6: none
Row7: one on each side
Row8: none
Row9: one on each side
Row10: none
Row11: one on each side
Row12: none
Row13: one on each side
tip: get the number of stitches before your complicated bit starts.
write out instructions as you did, then number of stitiches on each row. to make sure you end with the indicated number of stitiches afterwards.
